| Door Alarms | |||||
A disability living aid for people with Alzheimers & their carers - available late 2009This alarm guards a room without disturbing neighbours.
The Alarm consists of a small white box on the door and a very small magnet on the door frame. The on/off switch is a red knob on the end of a little bar which acts like a key. When the red knob is in place in the top of the box, the alarm will not sound. When it is removed, the alarm will sound as soon as the door is opened. This has the great advantage that the carer can sleep with the key under the pillow or be busy in the house with the key in a pocket, and nobody else can turn the alarm off. The Alarm costs £25 including UK postage - press the button on the left. |

It comes with a battery fitted & velcro pads to fix it quickly to a door. With spare pads the Alarm can be moved from room to room as necessary - perhaps from the bedroom to the front door during the day. Spare keys & batteries can be supplied.
